These targets are linked to EU and UN climate protection agreements. The EU Climate Law of the European Union has set stricter targets for 2030 (net minus <strong>55 %<\/strong> compared to 1990) and climate neutrality by the middle of the century. The EU Commission's \"Fit for 55\" package is intended to realise these goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the latest projection report from the Federal Environment Agency, Germany will miss its targets with the current measures. The forecasts indicate a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of <strong>49 %<\/strong> from 1990 to 2030 and by <strong>67 %<\/strong> by 2040. Germany will probably have to amend its Federal Climate Protection Act again in order to comply with the new EU requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By contrast, companies in the manufacturing and service sectors in Germany generated revenue of <strong>Goods and services for environmental protection<\/strong> 16.5% more turnover compared to the previous year (Destatis) The number of \"<strong>Green Jobs<\/strong>\" was 9.7 % higher than in the previous year. More and more companies are recognising that the transformation towards climate protection is a viable strategy for the future and more employees see jobs with a focus on climate protection as meaningful employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At M&amp;P Climate, we advise companies on their path to sustainable management and realisable #CO<sub>2<\/sub>reduction plans to achieve the # climate target.
