TEAM-THURSDAY: For a coffee ... with Svea, project manager for contaminated site management at Mull und Partner.
Many specialist disciplines work together at the M&P Group: Architects, geographers, geologists, environmental engineers and many more. In our series, we present our experts briefly and concisely - for a quick coffee ☕ in the office, so to speak!
In part 8, Svea tells us why her working day at M&P is never boring and how our Contaminated Sites department makes an important contribution to society.
What is the special challenge of your job at M&P?
Our field of activity is extremely diverse, no two projects are the same, so there is no "blueprint" for a problem. The job therefore requires a new approach and individual approaches for every project. In project management, it is also important to bring together different people with different views and objectives and to find a solution that everyone can support.
What motivates you to enjoy going to work every day?
The points described above ensure that my working day is varied and never boring. For me personally, it's a great motivation that no two days are the same and I'm always faced with new challenges. This makes the work exciting and varied and gives me the opportunity to develop personally. In addition, our field of activity also gives us the opportunity to leave our desks again and again, get some fresh air and accompany a project on site.
Why does our slogan "Engineering for a Better Tomorrow" fit with what you do at M&P?
Time and again, I hear from people to whom I first have to describe exactly what I do in my job, that it is a job that really changes something or makes something "better". Even if this also makes it clear that many people are unfamiliar with contaminated site management, our work makes an important contribution to society. This is because remediation measures at contaminated sites can preserve groundwater quality and ensure that the water remains usable in the future.
What makes you special as a colleague?
Reliable, committed and with an open ear and always some chocolate in the desk drawer for emergencies.
Thank you, Svea! We look forward to working with you! Together for ENGINEERING FOR A BETTER TOMORROW!
