SPARCS party in Leipzig

The SPARCS party in the Dunckerviertel neighbourhood on the LWB site took place in beautiful sunshine at the beginning of July. As a model neighbourhood, part of the district is the focus of the EU-funded project to develop energy-positive neighbourhoods.

We regularly organise events to involve local people in the process. As part of the SPARCS party, citizens were given the opportunity to meet and talk to the SPARCS partners in Leipzig in person. At the LWB's neighbourhood meeting point, guests were able to get an impression of the future design of the Dunckerviertel by the Digital City department, pick up heating and energy-saving tips from Caritas or gain technical insights into the topic of smart metering from our colleagues at Cenero. Guests were also able to get creative with crafts at a table provided by the LWB and discuss the latest developments in the neighbourhood over a coffee. Right next door, the State Film Service delighted families and children with the animated film "Shorty and the Secret of the Magic Reef".

As the organisers, we at seecon engineers were available all day to answer questions about the party and the SPARCS project and its process.

We'll be back in the neighbourhood in September and October. This time with our family cinema on 27.09.2023 from 16:30 and again on 05.10.2023 at 16:00 with the energy consultation hour offered by Caritas and the WSL. We look forward to seeing you there!
