Room control measurements at the Hamburg, Hanover and Osnabrück sites

Our Building Pollutants specialist group was able to expand its range of services at the Hamburg, Hanover and Osnabrück sites to include various indoor air monitoring measurements.

Fibre dust measurements (artificial mineral fibres, asbestos fibres) can quickly provide clarity about possible hazards or the success of asbestos removal. The specialist colleagues were trained by internal and external instructors in the special topics of VDI 3492 (measuring inorganic fibrous particles) and DIN EN ISO 16000-1 (sampling strategy for indoor air pollution) and given theoretical and practical instruction.

The company now has 8 of its own measuring devices available for measurements, which can be supplemented at any time for large series using laboratory loan equipment. The devices are now also regularly used for measurements of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and other indoor pollutants (in the required measurement or flow rate range of 0.2 l/min. up to 35 l/min.).

The measured indoor air values thus complete all areas of the specialist group's work, from the detection of building pollutants with risk assessment, to the planning of occupational safety measures for remediation, to the success monitoring of pollutant remediation and demolition measures, important guideline and limit values can be quickly and easily compared at any time. Particularly for the tasks of specialist site management for pollutant remediation, the expansion of our services to include our own indoor air control measurements, for which we previously mostly had to use and coordinate subcontractors, results in advantageous synergies for acceptance and black area approvals and clearance measurements.
