Versmannkai Ost is located in the Elbbrücken neighbourhood of HafenCity. The construction sites 102, 105, 108 and 110 were located in an as yet uninvestigated area of a former waterfront. The aim of the work was to check the as yet unprobed construction sites with suspected unexploded bombs down to a depth of -9.5 m above sea level (-15 m below ground level) by means of borehole probing and to achieve clearance. The sheet piling was only partially removed. The soundings were carried out using a three-axis magnetometer, supplemented by an active method (in this case 4R-EM) and borehole georadar in order to minimise the civil engineering work required for the salvage. Salvage at greater depths was carried out using large borehole drilling and divers, and the terrain was adjusted by filling in the excavation pits and modelling to contractually agreed transfer heights.

From 2016 to 2018, we provided consulting and planning services as part of the clearance of explosive ordnance at Versmannkai Ost in the Elbbrücken neighbourhood of HafenCity. This included the invitation to tender, participation in the awarding of contracts and specialist construction supervision. The construction sites 102, 105, 108 and 110, former water areas, were probed for possible unexploded bombs down to a depth of -9.5 metres above sea level. Prior to the sounding work, existing quays were demolished and the soundings were carried out using a three-axis magnetometer, 4R-EM and borehole georadar. Salvage work at greater depths was carried out using large boreholes and divers. The terrain was adjusted by filling the excavation pits and modelling to contractually agreed transfer heights.
