Sustainable neighbourhood development with geothermal energy
The North German Geothermal Conference on 16 May 2018 in Hanover offers background and practical information on the use of geothermal energy. As part of the conference, Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH will present the Klimawohl project Hannover-Bothfeld by Gundlach GmbH. Various approaches to climate adaptation strategies will be demonstrated in the sustainable residential neighbourhood. The sustainable supply of heating and hot water to the buildings via several geothermal probe fields plays a central role. The system concept also provides for the seasonal storage of solar energy and energy from building cooling in the ground. This means that surplus thermal energy can be stored in the ground in summer and is available again in winter to heat the buildings and provide domestic hot water.
