Bonava is developing a construction project with 3 apartment blocks and a total of 113 residential units in the Rath district of Düsseldorf. The expertise of Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft was not only called in to plan the excavation pit, including the shoring concept for the immediately adjacent neighbouring buildings, in 2019. We also developed the associated tender and drew up the required excavation and recycling concept. Our range of services also included supervising the demolition of the houses and warehouses on the site.

Based on the excavation pit developed by Mull und Partner and the excavation and recycling concept, the excavation pit was excavated and the shoring installed without delay in summer 2020. Difficulties with the neighbour's adjacent gable wall and an underground car park entrance were avoided at an early stage by working with foresight.

The excavation pit for the first construction phase was completed at the beginning of autumn 2020. Building construction is currently progressing rapidly. The excavation of the 2nd construction phase with shoring along the pavement of Westfalenstraße will follow in summer 2021. Mull und Partner Ingenieursgesellschaft will of course continue to support the client in an advisory capacity after the construction pit has been completed and will carry out inspections and other tasks as construction progresses.
