DE With the NEUE MEILE, DIE WOHNKOMPANIE Nord is developing a district on the site of the old goods station in Lübeck-St. Lorenz in which living, working and leisure combine to create a lively neighbourhood. Accompanying the green centre, the park in the NEUEN MEILE, a hotel is being built for short stays in the Hanseatic city, commercial space in the goods hall, a kindergarten, micro-apartments for students or senior citizens, flats and townhouses for rent - also publicly subsidised - and townhouses for anyone who wants to buy their own property in Lübeck.
M&P was on board right from the start and has been providing comprehensive support for the project for DIE WOHNKOMPANIE Nord since 2017 in the areas of contaminated site remediation, soil and waste management, geotechnics and dewatering, building pollutants, demolition and explosive ordnance.
After the first development work began on site in spring 2022, construction work on the first residential buildings also started in autumn 2022. The official laying of the foundation stone took place on site on 4 May 2023. At the invitation of DIE WOHNKOMPANIE Nord, the start of the building construction work was toasted together with politicians and the administration of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck as well as the companies involved in the project.
