A commercial property developer is planning the construction or extension of a logistics hall on a commercial property in the south-west of Hamburg. This required the demolition of a 4-storey office and laboratory building with a basement and 2 neighbouring cold halls. Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH was commissioned with the building pollutant investigation of the office and laboratory building to be demolished, the subsoil investigation in the area of the new hall to be erected, the preparation of the tender documents for the building demolition and the specialist construction supervision during the demolition work.

The building pollutant and subsoil investigation work was carried out by M&P employees in February and April 2020. The tender documents for the demolition services were handed over to the contracting authority at the beginning of June 2020 and the services were awarded in autumn 2020. Work on the demolition of the building began in April 2021 and has been supervised by M&P since then. The demolition work is scheduled for completion in June 2021, after which the new construction of the planned logistics hall will take place. M&P will carry out the compaction checks as external supervisor.
