In a complex hydrogeological situation in the Meiderich district of Duisburg, the Cologne branch of Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH is carrying out a detailed investigation in accordance with the requirements of the BBodSchG. The site under investigation is a former tram depot that has been used for commercial purposes for almost a hundred years.

M&P's investigations are aimed in particular at detecting harmful soil changes caused by the previous use. The area is to be put to a high-quality residential use, so it must be ensured that the existing soil inventory poses no danger to people or groundwater.

To this end, M&P's experienced experts use a variety of investigation methods - from topsoil sampling to the construction of groundwater measuring points to analyse the groundwater in the area of the property. Once the investigations have been completed, M&P draws up a needs-based remediation plan in consultation with the relevant local authorities.
