DE Demolition planning for the former Billwerder Straße school site in Hamburg
A new school is to be established on the school site in Billwerder Straße, Hamburg, which has been vacant for several years and was temporarily used as accommodation for refugees. There are currently eight buildings on the approx. 15,300 m² site that need to be demolished.
In the first step, Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH supported SBH | Schulbau Hamburg in the realisation of the design and approval planning in accordance with the specifications of AHO publication series no. 18, thus laying the foundation for further planning services and the invitation to tender. In a second step, the preparation for execution was continued in coordination with the project management/project control of SBH.
The project is currently in the tendering phase. The clearing work has been commissioned and has already been carried out, as clearing work must be completed by 28 February of each year in accordance with the tree protection statutes of the Free Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
M&P is supporting the demolition work, which will begin in May 2021, by monitoring and documenting the construction activities. Handover of the cleared site is planned for September 2021.
