First of all, Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH would like to praise the organisers of the Contaminated Sites Symposium in Hof. The GAB put together an all-round successful event with interesting topics on 11 and 12 July 2023.
In addition to many great conversations and information, Mull und Partner Hannover was able to present itself and give a lecture.
"Explosive ordnance clearance - something of a side issue or a complex planning task?"

was the topic that Managing Director Karsten Helms wanted to familiarise the participants with. The explosive nature and possible effects of explosive ordnance on the subsequent use of land in any form are still not as widely recognised as they should be. The need to plan the correct construction-related procedure when probing and, if necessary, salvaging explosive ordnance also requires further clarification. In general, awareness of how to deal with explosive ordnance remaining underground needs to be further sensitised. In addition to the danger to life and limb, the ageing processes and incomplete decomposition of explosive ordnance also pose a risk to the important protected resources of soil and water.

Overall, the lecture was received with great interest in the auditorium.
