DE New marine protected area in the north-east Atlantic
In October 2021, 15 ministers from the OSPAR Commission met in Portugal. One objective was to designate a further high seas marine protected area for seabirds in the North-East Atlantic. Covering around 60,000 square kilometres, the area includes the North Atlantic High Seas Current and the Evlanov Sea Basin.
